Lindy & Stella Klim
Our Celebrity Hen this month is the gorgeous Lindy Klim. This real-life princess, whose father was a prince in Denpasar, Bali, married swimmer Michael Klim on 23rd April 2006. Lindy now has her own range of natural skincare for babies, called Milk Baby. What a fairytale!
1. Were you the hen or the organizer/bridesmaid or both?
I was the Hen and the Organiser!
2. When was the hen’s night?
I had my hen’s night 2 weeks before my wedding, in 2006.
3. Did your hen’s night go for the whole weekend or just the night?
Just the night - I’d only just had Stella, my daughter, a few months before and I was still breastfeeding, so it was fairly low key.
4. What sort of activities were involved?
None really – just for everyone to have a fun time
5. Where did you go?
We went to Koko’s Teppanyaki at Crown in Melbourne for dinner, and then to Boutique, which is a nightclub in Melbourne, for a dance.
6. Who was the star of the night?
Me of course!
7. Did you meet up with the groom-to-be during the evening?
Yes, my husband came out and we all had a bit of a dance later on that evening.
8. Any funny stories you can share from the night?
Not really, we were all very well behaved!
9. Did your bridesmaids make you do anything you didn’t want to do, or were there some strict rules in place!
Sorry to disappoint, but no!
10. If you were organizing another hen’s night or weekend (or having yours again!), what would you do the same, and what would you do differently?
I would wait until I was not breastfeeding so that I could enjoy a few glasses of wine, and would only invite those people that I truly love and care about.
11. Any final advice for a girl planning a hen’s party?
Listen to what the bride really wants & don’t make her do anything she doesn’t want to do.
