A Calm & Peaceful 2008

Hens.com.au Beautiful Bride guide ... be a naturally gorgeous and glowing bride in 2008. Easy ways to keep you healthy, happy, calm & at peace with yourself as you prepare for your big day.

By: Sophie Cross - Hens.com.au PR Chick.

Date: January 2008

This year is all about you girls, but make sure that it’s all about you in the most positive way you can imagine and help yourself be the most naturally beautiful, kind, glowing and gorgeous chick you can be.

Be kind to yourself and to others … if you want to glow with happiness, vitality and natural beauty on your wedding day, you need to be healthy, serene and happy on the inside first.

New Year’s resolutions to help you achieve this are not as hard as you might think. Adopt the Hens.com.au beautiful bride regime below and you’ll be looking and feeling your best in no time at all:

* Drink at least 1.5 litres of filtered or mineral water a day to keep those toxins flushed and liver function at optimum levels. Good water consumption also helps with weight loss.

* Start the day with a hot water and wedge of lemon instead of a coffee to kick start the liver and metabolism and help clear out the toxins.

* Try to take 30 minutes of “you time” every day. Go for a walk, meditate on your balcony, do some basic yoga, have a bubble bath, sit quietly with your eyes closed and listen to your favourite iPod tunes or just do something you love to de-stress and replenish your natural energy levels.

* Try to exercise in some capacity as many days a week as you can – a walk, run, yoga, or something to help you get healthy on the inside and out. Just 20 minutes or so will do wonders.

* Have a regular massage to keep your body flushed and glowing and make you feel totally relaxed.

* Limit alcohol, caffeine, cigarettes and sugars whenever possible to help keep those toxins at bay and keep your body healthy.

* BUT still have FUN with your friends. A good laugh with the girls or boys on a regular basis is a great way to feel good!

* Do something kind every week – being nice to others gives you a great feeling of wellbeing. Pay someone a compliment; visit or call your granny; help an old lady across the road; chat to someone who looks a bit lonely; be a good neighbour; sponsor a child through World Vision etc. You’ll be amazed how this sort of thing can make you look so much happier on the outside and give you a tingle of goodness on the inside!

*Similarly doing your bit for the environment – knowing you’re doing your bit is a great way to glow on the inside and out.

*Let go of old grudges…and mend any relationships that you wish weren’t broken. Offer the olive branch yourself even if you think it’s the other person who should be apologising. This year is all about starting afresh, going forward into your marriage and/or the next phase of your life with a clean slate and the most positive attitude possible.

All these things are easy ways to make you happy, healthy, calm and at peace with yourself to give you a glow from within and make you the most radiantly beautiful bride you can be.

Have a healthy, happy, prosperous, fun and fabulous 2008!
