The question I am most asked is where the idea for Hens.com.au came from. When I was planning my own wedding, most of it was easy. There was an endless array of services available, from cakes to dresses and photographers.
But I couldn't find any ideas or suggestions for a hens party that suited me.
And that is what Hens.com.au is all about. A hens party should be unique. Not an off-the-rack event that you do, "like everyone else".
When I set about starting Hens.com.au, it came out of a desire to live and work in my own way. Maybe it's because I'm Piscean, but the ocean is where I feel most at home, so I've never been good at the 9-5 city grind. So off I went, a sea breeze floating through my home office, and a belief that I didn't have to follow "the rules". This is the girl who wore a turquoise wedding dress after all!
Running Hens.com.au is always fun and every day is different. I meet so many creative, hardworking and inspiring people. And my years working in media and advertising have not been wasted, either.
